Many Bangalore hospitals don't have a lead problem. They have an appointment problem that their agency never reports. Digital Advantage Media (DAM) publishes this guide and appears on the shortlist, so the full scoring rubric is included here and you can re-score any agency, including us.
Key takeaways
Choose a Google Ads agency for a Bangalore hospital on five things. First, proven healthcare ad compliance across Google policy, medical-ethics norms, advertising law and the DPDP Act. Second, call and CRM tracking down to booked appointments. Third, campaigns structured by specialty. Fourth, a fee tied to cost per appointment. Fifth, the hospital owning its ad account and data.
- Judge agencies on cost per booked appointment, not cost per lead.
- Healthcare ads in India fall under Google policy, ASCI and CCPA rules, the Drugs and Magic Remedies Act and the DPDP Act. NMC and IMC norms bind doctors directly and reach hospitals only by extension or pending guidance.
- Without call tracking and offline conversion import, no agency can prove lead quality.
- Multi-specialty hospitals need campaigns split by department, with emergency and elective demand kept apart.
- Fees come as a retainer, a percentage of spend, or a performance-linked model. Tie part of the fee to appointment metrics.
- The hospital, not the agency, must own the Google Ads account, the GA4 property and the CRM data.
Seven criteria that separate a hospital Google Ads agency from a generalist
A hospital Google Ads agency must prove three things: compliance, appointment-level tracking and specialty campaign structure. Generalists optimise for clicks and form fills. Hospitals earn revenue from booked, attended consultations and procedures. The seven criteria below cover those three requirements plus four more: geo-targeting, pricing, ownership and channel integration.
- Healthcare compliance competence. The agency can show approved healthcare ads and a documented process for resolving disapprovals. A suspended account stops patient flow overnight.
- Appointment-level measurement. It reports cost per booked appointment and show rate, not only CPL. Leads that never book carry no revenue.
- Call tracking and CRM integration. OPD inquiries often arrive by phone. If calls aren't tracked to outcome, a large part of the funnel can't be seen.
- Specialty-wise campaign structure. IVF, cardiology, orthopaedics and emergency each run as separate campaigns. Each one has a different intent, decision cycle and value per patient.
- Bangalore geo-targeting. The agency targets by locality and catchment, not "Bangalore + 40 km". Bangalore traffic makes travel time a booking factor.
- Pricing clarity. The management fee is shown separately from ad spend and linked to outcomes. Without that split, nobody knows what the agency actually costs.
- Account and data ownership. The hospital is admin on every asset. Switching agencies should never mean losing years of conversion history.

Google Ads agencies for hospitals in Bangalore: the 2026 shortlist
The shortlist below covers healthcare-focused agencies that serve Bangalore, plus a note on generalists. DAM is one of the listed agencies. The weighted rubric is published so a hospital can score each vendor, including DAM, against the same standard during its own RFP.
The scoring rubric
The weights reflect our judgement of what predicts booked patients for a hospital. Compliance and appointment reporting carry the most weight, because failing either one sinks the account.
| Criterion | Weight | What earns full marks |
| Healthcare compliance evidence | 20% | Documented policy process, approved healthcare ads, disapproval resolution times |
| Appointment-level reporting | 20% | Reports cost per booked appointment and show rate |
| Call and CRM / offline conversion tracking | 15% | Call tracking plus offline import from the CRM or HIS into Google Ads |
| Specialty campaign structure | 15% | Department-level campaigns, with emergency and elective separated |
| Pricing transparency | 10% | Published or clearly explained fee model |
| Account and data ownership | 10% | Client-owned accounts written into the contract |
| Integrated channels (SEO, GBP, GEO) | 10% | Paid, local SEO and AI visibility run as one system |
Comparison at a glance
Healthcare agencies in Bangalore split into two groups. Some are performance-led and report down the funnel. Others are brand-led and focus on reputation and positioning. Use the "best fit" column to match each agency to your hospital's main goal.
| Agency | Bangalore area | Healthcare focus | Best fit |
| Digital Advantage Media | Bangalore | Healthcare is one of four core verticals | Multi-specialty and specialty hospitals that want appointment-level accountability |
| ICG (Ichelon Consulting Group) | Bangalore | Healthcare-focused | Clinics and practices that track CPQL |
| BCC Healthcare Branding | Bangalore | Healthcare providers | Brand-led hospital marketing and reputation work |
| DigiGo Plus | Bangalore | Healthcare digital marketing | Smaller providers starting patient lead generation |
| Influencio Ads | Bangalore | Doctor and medical campaigns | Individual doctors and small practices |
| Pracharak | Bangalore | Regional healthcare providers | Local search for neighbourhood clinics |
| Anirup / Appenius | Bangalore | Generalist | Simple, low-compliance accounts |
1. Digital Advantage Media: best for hospitals that want ownership of revenue, not campaign delivery
DAM reports to booked appointments, not leads, and runs each hospital account as one revenue system. The company is Bangalore-based and operates as a performance company rather than a traditional agency. Every engagement is measured against revenue outcomes: CPL, CAC, ROAS and conversion rate.
Built for: - Multi-specialty and single-specialty hospitals - IVF clinics, dental chains and specialty centres - Mid-market providers with ₹10–100 Cr in revenue
What you get: 1. Cost-per-appointment reporting across the full funnel: spend → calls and forms → qualified → booked → shown. 2. Analytics and attribution. GA4, GTM, server-side tracking and CRM integration connect ad spend to patients, not clicks. 3. Specialty-wise campaign architecture across Google Ads, with emergency and elective budgets kept separate. 4. Compliance-first creative and landing pages, built by a team that addresses healthcare ad restrictions directly. 5. Conversational AI after the click. WhatsApp automation, AI voice calls, a website chatbot and lead qualification stop inquiries going cold before the front desk calls back. 6. One connected system. Paid media, SEO, Google Business Profile and GEO (AI answer visibility) work together. DAM sees an 18–24 month window before competitors catch up on GEO. 7. Cross-client benchmarks from healthcare, real estate, D2C and manufacturing campaigns, used to set realistic targets from day one.
Not for: hospitals that only want a cheap campaign set-up with no tracking or CRM work.
DAM's wider performance marketing agency practice and its work as a Bangalore paid media agency sit behind this healthcare offer.
2. ICG (Ichelon Consulting Group): best for CPQL-benchmarked clinic campaigns
ICG publishes an agency evaluation framework and specialty cost-per-qualified-lead data. These are self-reported, per the agency's website. Its focus leans towards clinic specialties. Ask how it handles hospital-scale department budgets, and whether its reporting goes beyond CPQL to booked appointments.
3. BCC Healthcare Branding: best for brand-led hospital marketing
BCC positions itself around healthcare branding for hospitals, clinics and specialists. It suits hospitals whose main gap is brand positioning and reputation. Its positioning is brand-led, so ask for sample reports that show appointment-level results.
4. DigiGo Plus: best for smaller providers starting patient lead generation
DigiGo Plus offers healthcare digital marketing aimed at patient lead generation. It can suit smaller providers running their first structured Google Ads programme. Before signing, ask for its call-tracking set-up, its healthcare disapproval history, and confirmation that the ad account will sit in your name.
5. Influencio Ads: best for doctor-led practices
Influencio Ads runs doctor and medical campaigns. It fits individual practitioners and small practices better than multi-department hospitals. Doctor-led ads sit closest to NMC and IMC advertising norms, so ask how its copy avoids patient solicitation and self-promotional claims.
6. Pracharak: best for local search for neighbourhood clinics
Pracharak serves regional healthcare providers through Google Ads and local search. It suits neighbourhood clinics whose patients come from a tight catchment. Ask whether it tracks calls to outcome and whether it can manage several facilities with separate locality targeting.
7. Generalist Google Ads agencies (Anirup, Appenius and others): when a generalist is enough
Generalist agencies cover Search, Performance Max, Shopping and YouTube. Anirup cites "750+ businesses", which is self-reported, per the agency's website. Ask either agency to show healthcare-specific compliance experience before you shortlist it.
- A generalist works when you run a single-location clinic with simple services and low compliance exposure.
- A generalist doesn't work when you run multiple specialties, take a high volume of calls, or offer compliance-sensitive services such as IVF, oncology or cosmetic procedures.

Cost per lead is the wrong number. Measure cost per booked appointment.
CPL rewards volume. That volume includes wrong-specialty calls, job seekers and price-checkers. Cost per booked appointment shows which spend actually fills OPD slots. Hospitals should ask every agency to commit to cost per booked appointment as the primary KPI, with show rate as the secondary one. An agency that resists this is optimising for a number you can't bank.
The patient acquisition funnel, from spend to shown patient
Every rupee passes through seven stages:
Spend → Clicks → Calls and forms → Qualified leads → Booked appointments → Shown patients → Revenue
Many agency reports stop in the early stages. Revenue starts with the shown patient. Four formulas cover the stages that matter:
| Metric | Formula |
| Cost per qualified lead (CPQL) | Spend ÷ qualified leads |
| Cost per booked appointment | Spend ÷ booked appointments |
| Cost per shown patient | Spend ÷ attended appointments |
| Appointment booking rate | Booked appointments ÷ qualified leads |
A specialty worksheet for your own baseline
National averages and US benchmarks won't tell a Bangalore hospital what an orthopaedic consult should cost. Your own data will. Fill this worksheet monthly from your CRM and call logs, by department. Then ask each shortlisted agency to state, in writing, which column it will be measured on.
| Specialty | Spend | Leads | Qualified leads | Booked | Shown | Cost per booked appointment | Show rate |
| IVF / fertility | |||||||
| Orthopaedics | |||||||
| Cardiology | |||||||
| General OPD / multi-specialty | |||||||
| Diagnostics / health checks |

Where hospital leads leak after the click
Leakage after the click is where ad budgets quietly fail. In one peer-reviewed study of a US VA medical centre, the mean no-show rate across 10 main clinics was 18.8%, and gastroenterology reached 25.7% (BMC Health Services Research). That is US data, not Indian data, but it shows how much booked demand can be lost after the click. Each leak below comes with its fix.
- Missed and unanswered calls, especially after hours. Fix: call tracking, missed-call alerts and a callback deadline for the front desk.
- Slow form follow-up. Fix: route leads to the CRM instantly and send an automatic WhatsApp acknowledgement.
- Wrong-specialty routing. Fix: give each department its own tracking number.
- No reminder flow. Fix: SMS and WhatsApp reminders before each appointment to cut no-shows.
- No feedback to Google. Fix: offline conversion import, so Smart Bidding learns from booked patients rather than form fills.
An agency that stops at "leads delivered" has stopped where the revenue starts. More on this in PPC lead generation tied to booked revenue.
Healthcare ad compliance in India: what your agency must know in 2026
Hospital Google Ads in India must satisfy several layers at once:
- Google's Healthcare and medicines policy
- Medical-ethics advertising norms, which bind doctors directly
- Consumer-advertising rules under ASCI, the CCPA and the Drugs and Magic Remedies Act
- The DPDP Act for patient lead data
A capable agency can explain each layer without notes.
Google Ads Healthcare and medicines policy
Google updated the India specifics of its policy on 7 April 2026 (Google Ads Policy Help). Two points matter most:
- Prescription drugs: advertisers targeting India may not promote prescription drugs in ads or on landing pages.
- Online pharmacies: they may promote prescription drug services only after LegitScript Healthcare Merchant Certification and certification with Google.
The core Healthcare and medicines policy also bans pre-natal gender determination products in India, citing a Supreme Court order.
Audience rules matter as much as copy rules. Google's personalized advertising policy treats health as a sensitive interest category. That limits Customer Match, lookalike segments and audience expansion. An agency that plans to upload your patient list for targeting needs to justify it against the policy.
Ask every agency for its healthcare disapproval log: the policy flag, the fix and the resolution time.
NMC and medical-ethics advertising norms
On 23 August 2023, the NMC put its RMP (Professional Conduct) Regulations 2023 on hold "till further Gazette Notification". It made the IMC 2002 Regulations effective immediately (Medical Dialogues). As of October 2026, we found no later notification reactivating the 2023 text.
The IMC 2002 rules prohibit doctors from soliciting patients. They bind individual doctors, not hospitals. The hospital question is still open:
- In October 2023, the Supreme Court issued notices to the NMC and the Centre on regulating corporate hospital advertising (Medical Dialogues).
- An NMC panel later agreed that doctor and hospital norms shouldn't differ (ThePrint).
Ads that name individual doctors carry the most risk, as do superlative claims, outcome claims, testimonials and before-and-after images.
ASCI, CCPA and the Drugs and Magic Remedies Act
Healthcare draws heavy scrutiny from advertising regulators. In its FY2024–25 report, ASCI referred 233 healthcare ads to the AYUSH Ministry for potential Drugs and Magic Remedies Act violations. It found 94.8% of flagged ads on digital platforms (Medical Dialogues).
Three more rules apply:
- CCPA guidelines: the Guidelines for Prevention of Misleading Advertisements, notified on 9 June 2022, apply to service providers across all media (AZB).
- Drugs and Magic Remedies Act: the 1954 Act bars drug advertisements that claim to diagnose, cure, treat or prevent scheduled diseases. On 26 March 2025, the Supreme Court held that its provisions extend to those who "design and publish the advertisements" (KS&K). That puts agencies in the frame, not only advertisers.
- Karnataka: the Private Medical Establishments Act governs how establishments notify and display their schedule of charges.
The DPDP Act and patient lead data
The DPDP Rules were notified on 13 November 2025 and phase in over 18 months (Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas):
- November 2026: Consent Manager registration.
- May 2027: notice and consent, security safeguards, breach reporting and data principal rights.
A MeitY proposal to bring the May 2027 obligations forward to November 2026 had not been formally notified as of our check (dcomply tracker).
Lead forms and call recordings built in 2026 will fall under the notice and consent regime by mid-2027. Ask your agency three questions:
- Where is our lead data stored?
- Who can access it?
- Will you sign a data processing agreement?
Ad copy: risky versus safer
| Avoid | Use instead |
| "Best cardiologist in Bangalore" | "Cardiology consultations in Hebbal. Book an OPD slot." |
| "100% IVF success" | "IVF consultations with fertility specialists. Book an assessment." |
| Patient testimonial with an outcome claim | Facility, specialty and availability facts |
| Before-and-after images | Process and facility imagery |
Tracking that proves lead quality: call tracking, CRM and offline conversions
An agency that can't see call outcomes and CRM status can't prove lead quality. A hospital needs a minimum stack of four parts: dynamic call tracking, form and WhatsApp tracking, CRM or HIS integration, and offline conversion import back into Google Ads. Without the last step, Smart Bidding optimises for whoever fills in a form fastest.
Call tracking and OPD inquiry capture
Dynamic number insertion assigns a trackable number to each visitor source. Give each specialty its own number, so cardiology calls aren't counted as orthopaedic wins. Add missed-call alerts and a callback deadline. Record calls only with a clear consent notice, because recordings are personal data under the DPDP regime.
Offline conversion import from CRM or HIS
"Booked" and "shown" events should flow back to Google Ads, matched by GCLID or through enhanced conversions for leads. Enhanced conversions use hashed email and phone data, sent through Data Manager, the API or the Google tag. Google recommends capturing GCLIDs wherever possible.
Timing matters. Offline conversions uploaded more than 90 days after the last click are not imported. For enhanced conversions for leads, the cutoff is 63 days (Google Ads Help). For long-cycle specialties such as IVF, the agency must upload booking events promptly.
Consent Mode's ad_user_data signal governs whether enhanced conversions can use the data (Google). Read more on marketing analytics and tracking.
A lead quality scoring rubric
Score every lead the same way so the agency and the front desk argue from the same data. The approach mirrors filtering out unqualified enquiries in other high-intent verticals.
| Score | Definition | Example |
| A: qualified and booked | Right specialty, in catchment, appointment booked | Orthopaedic consult booked, Whitefield |
| B: qualified, not booked | Right specialty, follow-up needed | Price inquiry for knee replacement |
| C: unqualified | Wrong specialty or outside catchment | Dermatology query on a cardiology campaign |
| D: junk | Job seeker, vendor or spam | Nursing job inquiry |
Specialty-wise campaign structure and Bangalore geo-targeting
A multi-specialty hospital should run each department as its own campaign. Each campaign needs its own budget, keywords, landing page and conversion goal. Emergency and elective demand behave differently: one converts in minutes by phone, the other over weeks of research. They must never share a budget, or the cheaper clicks will starve the more valuable ones.
Intent patterns by specialty
Intent decides format, bidding and landing page. The table shows the qualitative patterns your agency's structure should reflect.
| Specialty | Intent pattern | Decision cycle | Primary conversion | Key format |
| Emergency / trauma | Urgent, near-me | Minutes | Call | Search, call assets, GBP |
| IVF / fertility | Research-heavy, sensitive | Weeks to months | Consultation booking | Search, YouTube |
| Orthopaedics | Pain-driven, procedure research | Days to weeks | OPD booking | Search, PMax (controlled) |
| Cardiology | Mixed urgent and elective | Hours to weeks | Call and OPD | Search, call assets |
| Diagnostics / health checks | Price comparison | Days | Package booking | Search, PMax |
Department-level budget allocation
Allocate budget by revenue per appointment and by bed or OPD capacity, not by search volume. A department that is full next month shouldn't receive extra spend this month. Run 24x7 ad scheduling only for departments with 24x7 call coverage. An unanswered emergency call is worse than no ad at all.
Performance Max for hospitals: use with guardrails
Performance Max gives less search-term control than Search campaigns, so it needs guardrails in a sensitive category. Two guardrails help:
- Negative keywords and brand exclusions: account-level negative keywords apply to PMax Search and Shopping inventory, and campaign-level brand exclusions apply to that traffic (Google Ads Help).
- Negatives don't reach YouTube, Display, Gmail or Discover. Feed PMax booked-appointment conversions only, never raw form fills.
See hospital Google Ads campaign structure for a full build.
Geo-targeting Bangalore localities by catchment
Target a catchment around each facility, defined by travel time rather than kilometres. Bangalore traffic makes a 10 km trip across the city a different decision from a 10 km trip along a clear corridor. Build locality clusters such as:
- Whitefield, Marathahalli and Sarjapur Road
- HSR Layout, Koramangala and Electronic City
- Bannerghatta Road and Jayanagar
- Hebbal, Yelahanka and Rajajinagar
Use location-intent keywords such as "orthopaedic hospital near Whitefield". Add negatives for other cities. Optimise a Google Business Profile for every facility.
How much Google Ads agencies charge hospitals in Bangalore
Bangalore agencies charge in one of three ways: a fixed monthly retainer, a percentage of ad spend, or a performance-linked fee. Many mid-market contracts combine two of them. Ad spend is paid to Google separately. Hospitals should tie part of the fee to cost per booked appointment, so the agency earns more only when patients actually arrive.
| Model | How it works | Works when | Risk for hospitals |
| Fixed retainer | Flat monthly fee | Stable spend, defined scope | No link to outcomes |
| Percentage of ad spend | Fee is a set % of spend | Scaling budgets | Agency gains from higher spend, not better results |
| Performance-linked | Base fee plus a bonus on appointment KPIs | Tracking is in place | Needs clean CRM data to settle disputes |
| Hybrid | Retainer plus a spend-tier percentage | Most mid-market hospitals | Terms must be explicit in the contract |
Observed market signals
Few agencies publish prices. ICG lists ₹1–3.5 lakh a month with a ₹1 lakh minimum. Service Ninjas lists ₹10,000 a month, plus 10% of spend above ₹1 lakh. Both figures are self-reported, per each agency's website, and neither is a healthcare-specific benchmark.
What to tie the fee to
Three conditions belong in the contract:
- The management fee is invoiced separately from ad spend.
- Ad spend is billed to the hospital's own Google payment profile.
- Bonus thresholds are set on cost per booked appointment and show rate.
Compare the risk of each structure in retainer vs percentage-of-spend vs pay-per-lead pricing. For channel allocation, see the Google Ads vs Meta Ads budget split.
Red flags and green flags when vetting a hospital PPC agency
The fastest test of an agency is what it refuses to show you. For a hospital, three things disqualify an agency outright: a shared or agency-owned ad account, click-only reporting and guaranteed lead volumes. Each signals that the agency is protecting its own position rather than your patient pipeline.
| Red flag | Green flag |
| Guaranteed leads or rankings | Targets stated as CPQL and cost-per-appointment ranges, with assumptions |
| Agency-owned Google Ads account | Hospital owns the account, GA4, GTM and call tracking |
| Reports clicks, CTR and impressions only | Reports booked appointments and show rate |
| No healthcare ad examples | Approved healthcare ads and disapproval logs |
| One campaign for "hospital" | Campaigns by department and locality |
| Plans to upload patient lists for targeting | Respects Google's health audience restrictions |
| No exit clause | Data handover and a 30-day exit clause |
| Lead data kept in spreadsheets | CRM integration and a data processing agreement |
The pattern behind every green flag is accountability, which is why agencies that are accountable for revenue outperform those paid for activity.
The agency RFP: 12 questions and a 90-day plan to demand
A strong RFP forces agencies to show evidence rather than credentials. Send the same 12 questions to every shortlisted agency. Score the answers on the seven-criterion rubric. Then require a written 30-60-90 day plan, so delivery can be checked against promises from the first month.
- Who owns the Google Ads, GA4 and call tracking accounts?
- Show three approved healthcare ads and one disapproval you resolved.
- How will you separate emergency and elective demand?
- What is your process for offline conversion import, and how do you meet the 63-day and 90-day windows?
- What do you report weekly and monthly? Show a sample report.
- How do you score lead quality?
- Which Bangalore localities would you target first for our facilities, and why?
- How do you handle DPDP consent on forms and call recordings?
- What is your fee model, and which part is tied to outcomes?
- How do you use Performance Max, and what are its guardrails?
- Who works on our account, and what healthcare experience do they have?
- What is the exit and data-handover process?
| Window | What should be in place |
| Days 1–30 | Tracking audit, call tracking, CRM link, compliance review, specialty campaign rebuild |
| Days 31–60 | Offline conversions flowing, negative keywords tightened, landing page tests |
| Days 61–90 | Bidding on booked appointments, first cost-per-appointment baseline, budget reallocated by department |
These are expectations, not guarantees. An agency should explain any window it can't meet before you sign. Landing page work in days 31–60 draws on conversion rate optimization and building a high-converting landing page.
How DAM runs hospital Google Ads as one revenue system
DAM takes ownership of hospital revenue, not campaign delivery. Each account runs as one system that measures spend through to shown patients. It structures campaigns by specialty and locality, keeps creative and data policy-safe, and compounds paid results with SEO, Google Business Profile and AI search visibility.
- Measure. GA4, GTM, server-side tracking and CRM integration track every rupee from spend to shown patient.
- Structure. Specialty and locality campaigns, with emergency and elective demand split.
- Convert. WhatsApp automation, AI voice calls and lead qualification close the gap between inquiry and consultation, and reduce no-shows.
- Compound. Paid, SEO, Google Business Profile and GEO work together, so the hospital can also appear when patients ask ChatGPT or Google's AI Overviews. Google has expanded sponsored placements in AI Overviews to India (Storyboard18).
We take ownership of your revenue. Get a free hospital Google Ads and funnel audit. We'll score your account on the seven criteria above and show your current cost per booked appointment. Prefer a call first? Book a hospital marketing audit, or explore our full range of digital marketing services.
Frequently asked questions
Which Google Ads agencies in Bangalore specialise in hospitals?
Healthcare-focused options include Digital Advantage Media, ICG, BCC Healthcare Branding, DigiGo Plus, Influencio Ads and Pracharak. DAM publishes this guide and is one of them. The agencies differ on appointment-level tracking, compliance depth and pricing. Use the seven-criterion scorecard above to compare them on the same standard.
What is the best healthcare marketing agency in Bangalore?
The best agency depends on the hospital's goal. For booked appointments and revenue accountability, choose an agency that reports cost per booked appointment and integrates with your CRM. For brand positioning and reputation work, a branding-led healthcare agency may fit better.
How much do agencies charge for Google Ads in India?
Agencies charge a retainer, a percentage of ad spend, or a performance-linked fee. Ad spend is paid to Google separately. Published examples include ICG's ₹1–3.5 lakh a month and Service Ninjas' ₹10,000 plus 10% above ₹1 lakh of spend, both self-reported, per each agency's website.
What is a good cost per appointment for hospital Google Ads?
There is no single number. Cost per appointment varies by specialty, catchment and front-desk conversion. Compare each department against its own baseline rather than a city-wide average. Build that baseline with the specialty worksheet above, then set agency targets against it.
Can hospitals advertise on Google Ads in India?
Yes, within Google's Healthcare and medicines policy and Indian advertising law. Advertisers targeting India may not promote prescription drugs. Online pharmacies need LegitScript and Google certification. Health is a sensitive category, which limits audience targeting. Testimonials, outcome claims and "cure" language carry regulatory risk.
Do NMC guidelines restrict hospital Google Ads?
NMC norms bind individual doctors directly. Since August 2023, the IMC 2002 Regulations have applied, and they prohibit patient solicitation. Ads that name doctors fall closest to these rules. Whether hospitals face equal norms is pending: the Supreme Court issued notices in 2023, and an NMC panel favoured parity.
Does the DPDP Act affect hospital lead forms and call tracking?
Yes. Lead forms and call recordings collect personal data. The DPDP Rules, notified in November 2025, bring notice and consent, security and breach obligations into force by May 2027. A proposal to bring these forward has not been formally notified. Hospitals should sign a data processing agreement with their agency.
Should a hospital hire a healthcare-only agency or a generalist?
Hire a healthcare-experienced agency if you run multiple specialties, take many calls, or offer compliance-sensitive services such as IVF, oncology or cosmetic procedures. A generalist can work for a single-location clinic with simple services, provided it can show approved healthcare ads.
What is the Google Ads new-advertiser credit, and how do I claim it?
Google offers new advertisers in India a promotional credit whose amount varies by account. To unlock it, you must reach a spend target within the first 60 days. Eligibility requires an account under 14 days old, a valid payment method and no prior Google Ads history for the business. Claim it only through your own account.
How long before a hospital sees booked appointments from Google Ads?
Search campaigns can begin generating calls soon after launch. A reliable cost-per-appointment baseline takes longer, because it depends on call tracking, CRM links and offline conversion imports being in place. In a well-run engagement, bidding on booked appointments should begin in the days 61–90 window.
